If a patient comes in the office for a percutaneous peg tube change can our RN change out the peg. If so, would the provider have to be in the office suite at time of the change?

you need to check to see if this comes under the scope of service for an RN, and in the physician office to bill service under the physician NPI the yes the physician must be present in the office. Also RNs, in an office setting, operate under direct physician supervision, meaning the physician must be present in the office.
What CPT code do you plan to use?
