What does per diem code H0045 cover when a patient is in residential care?
 
I am looking for guidelines for respite care. Specific questions are for billing code H0045. Any information or direction to resources is appreciated.
  • It's a daily code, but can we bill for less than 24 hours (if patient leaves after 10-hrs or 23)?
  • Does patient need an active care plan (assessment and treatment plan) to bill this or can it be same as emergency care service?
  • Is there a resource for documentation requirements
