Can anyone explain to me why we cant bill for a 93287 when the provider is doing an Afib/abl (93656). the 93287 is for the turning off and then resetting of the device parimeters before and after the ablation. Does anyone know why we can't use this?

because the device programming is built into the PVI ablation according to NCCI edits. You can bill device programming with SVT ablation (93653), but not VT (93654) or PVI (93656). I know it doesn't make sense, just like 3D mapping is built into 93654 but not 93653 or 93656. It's just they way they're built.
