Hi,
Would anyone advise what the ICD10 code is when the PAD test is normal. The reason patient had the test done because he complaint to numbness of the feet and he's diabetic. But the test result is normal. I would code the reason for the test, numbness. Would this be correct?
Would anyone can advise on the correct code for this I would appreciate. Thank you.

When no definitive diagnosis revert back to symptoms. I would even add the diabetes. Hope this helps.

I agree: Primary DX numbness with secondary DX Diabetes. Then if you would like to take it a step further attach the office visit to claim along with treatment plan. Office visit will support patient complaints as well as treatment plan. Additional attached procedure report.
The insurance will review and then see the complaints from patient and then the treatment which with a complaint of numbness with a diabetic can lead to serious complications if not investigated. Thank goodness normal.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely, Lisa Jo Batts, CPC, CMBS
