Hey all, does Medicare pay for a peripheral nerve stimulator? I can only find a policy for dorsal column and deep brain stimulators.

Thanks.

P-STIM or PENS or PNS

I found an LCD from Noridian regarding PNS: https://med.noridianmedicare.com/do...d+Peripheral+Nerve+Field+Stimulation+(L34328)

However, I am not sure this helps or not as it does not go into a lot of detail about the device itself and the description of the procedure is a little vague. My understanding is not all devices are approved for chronic pain and there are devices where the electrode is inserted into the skin and a device with needle arrays that are placed on the skin.

I found this article that explains the difference in procedures, but I can't relate either of their procedures to the LCD..

Is there anyone out there that has experience billing the 64555?
