Please help me with this code. I think its 64704 or 64708. All its states is a Distal deep peroneal nerve release ankle. Also it states there was a dorsal spur at the cuneiform navicular joints. The spur was taken off of the cuneiform. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

In this procedure, the provider uses an open approach to incise scar tissue or other sources of pressure to relieve tension on a nerve in a hand or foot. The nerves of the hand or foot include both sensory and motor nerves that innervate the back and the palm of the hand.

Clinical Responsibility
When the patient is appropriately prepped and anesthetized, the provider makes an incision into the target site in the patient’s hand or foot where the compressed nerve is present. He then locates the compressed nerve and performs external neurolysis, releasing the nerve by cutting down the surrounding scar and soft tissues without entering into the nerve. He may also remove any bone spur or damaged muscle putting pressure on the nerve. He closes the incision in layers once he has repaired and freed the nerve.
