Perscription Refills

Is there a code for perscription refills? I have a clinic who keeps using a 99211 for the physician doing a perscription refill.

Per Medicare guidelines, 99211 should not be billed solely for the writing of prescriptions when no other E&M is necessary or performed. "A physician visit is not necessary to routinely provide stable patients with an ongoing medication supply. The documentation for code 99211 or any other E&M code in this circumstance must demostrate a need for clnical evaluation and management (for instance, symptoms or signs reported that are significant enough to necessity evaluation."

Hope this helps.
