I coding a patient that has a pessory and gets it cleaned. Cant seem to find a code to match up. Do I just code an office code???????
 
Yes, a lower level E&M code is typical if there are no complaints, workup or changes in the treatment plan and depending on who is performing the cleaning.
 
Be sure you use a V53.6 dx code for the fitting and adjustment which includes cleaning. Do not use the dx code for the reason the pessary was placed as that is not the reason for the encounter.
