Good morning!

What is the opinion out there on "no sick contacts" counting as a component of the PFSH? I am coding for an urgent care center and right now we are at the height of URI, Bronchitis, Sinusitis and Flu season. The dr. always puts "no sick contact" or "+ sick contact" in his HPI notes. The actual area for PFSH is almost NEVER filled out and there is always a checked box for "see list". The center still works on paper, which is ridiculous, and the handwriting is atrocious. I am in a different building across town and have no access to anything other than what is copied and scanned into the system. Most of the info for the E/M level has to be derived from the notes in his HPI. Sometimes it is easy to see PFSH in his notes, but sometimes it is not.

Thanks for your opinion!

Amy
