Is "non-contributory" acceptable in family history for the MAC Cahaba? I have searched and cannot find a definitive answer.

Your carrier doesn't explicitly state an opinion on the "non-contributory" issue, but I would lean on the side of caution. Many carriers and auditors do not find this acceptable documentation because it is unclear whether the component was even done. As tahoffman01 states, at minimum, you need to indicate that it was reviewed at all. Otherwise, how would an auditor even know whether it was done?

Non-contributory is really a non-statement.
