Our Pulmonary Critical Care Physician does a Pumonary Function test on the day he sees the patient. Is he entitled to and E&M?
 
Our office did the same as ahooker said above...
Medicaid is holding payments on them now though and saying you can't bill for both. Anyone else have this problem? I don't know what's going on. I can't find anything on CMS site for this. Is it new for 2014?
 
Check MLN Matters Number: SE1315 and also CMS NCCI Current manual section XI-20 They are considering the PFT tests bundled with the E&M billed on the same day by the same physician. They say unless the service is not related to the E&M you can add mod 25 to the E&M
