I code outpatient therapy for a hospital. Say a patient comes in with OA of the knee and the medical diagnosis is "OA of L knee". The treatment dx by the therapist is 719.7, "difficulty walking". Can a coder pick up the treatment dx? The PT note eventually gets signed by the ordering physician.
