Does anyone know if a physician signature is required on a standing order or protocol to administer a pneumonia and flu vaccine?

The CDC and Immunization Action Coalition both have "standing orders" forms on their websites. Each contains a place for physician or medical director signature and since a qualified medical provider is the one who orders immunizations in other circumstances, it stands to reason a signature would be required on a standing order. You should also consider state law with regard to standing orders for immunizations.

Hope this helps!
