It is my understanding that a counselor must work under the written order of another provider. What elements should that order have? In other words, does the PCP's order have to list a specific symptom or disease, a frequency, and a duration? Or is simply "counseling" enough. I am leaning towards more documentation needed, but I cannot find any specific documentation to back it up my request.
