A patient needs long term antibiotic infusions and the Dr sends the patient to the outpatient department to have a PICC line inserted (CPT 36569) and have the first round of therapeutic medications (Med Administration CPT 96365, 96366, 96367, 96368) on the same day.

Can the insertion of the PICC and the IV administration of the antibiotic drug be charged on the same day with a modifier 59 or XU?
