So we have a Medicare patient who comes in weekly for PICC line flushes/dressing changes. We are trying to figure out how to bill for this!
96523 is the flush code and its a stand alone code.
How do we go about charging all of the supplies? We are a small facility. Are the supplies bundled into the 96523 charge? Will Medicare even cover supplies if charged for separately? I am struggling to find information on this. For us the 96523 Medicare will only pay 28.96. The cost of supplies we use on this patient each time is 34.41. Any advice!?
Each time we use:
