Hi All...

As I'm getting denial by using POS 13 (Assisted Living Facility) for CPT 93792.
Please help me to get paid for Medicare on correct POS.

Why are you doing this training in an assisted living facility? The staff would be doing testing in the facility, wouldn't they?

93792 is for patient/caregiver education for initiation of home international normalized ratio (INR) testing. The patient obtains the equipment from a DME provider to test their own blood at home, and prior to doing the testing, a staff member has a face-to-face educational session with the patient, showing them how to collect the sample and test their blood, and documenting their ability to perform the tests and report the results.

You're going to need to know where it was done. You can't just randomly apply POS codes.

Seconding Sharon. You can't just bill based on what is payable. You must code and bill what/where it was performed.
