I thought I posted this the other day, but it disappeared, so pardon if it is a repeat.

This may be a basic question, but I am new to PCS coding.

Is there a placeholder option to abbreviate a list of codes that have almost all he same characters? For example, rather than write out the entire list of codes below, I would like to list it once, and indicate via a placeholder that the 4th and 7th characters need to be indicated. Is there a standard practice, such as an underscore, as in 0HR_XJ_ ? Thanks for any help!

No there is no placeholder in the PCS system nor any standard of doing so. Why would you need to this when the book provides the rubric?

Good question! I work for a vendor, and we are trying to consolidate information for educational marketing materials. Thank you for the info!
