Here is what I am looking at, haven't seen this before, so any help is appreciated:
"Under direct ultrasound guidance, the left popliteal vein was percutaneously accessed with a 21-guage micropuncture needle. The access needle was exchanged over guidewire for a 6 French sheath, through which left lower extremity venography was performed. Over a Bentson guidewire, a 5 French Kumpe catheter was advanced to the left common femoral vein and pelvic venography performed. Attempts were made at traversing the occluded left common iliac vein into the IVC, but this was not achieved. A 40cm length EKOS infusion catheter was positioned from the peripheral common iliac vein through the peripheral femoval vein.
