Can anyone tell me the CPT code for platinum micro coil deployment in this documentation.
The patient was placed in prone position on the CT scanner. The
area was once again prepped and draped in usual sterile manner and
locally anesthetized with 1% lidocaine. Under CT guidance this
time, the bone biopsy needle was advanced in this time there was
confirmation that it had entered the marrow cavity of the left
10th rib. A single platinum microcoil was then deployed. The
bone biopsy needle was removed. Completion images were obtained
confirming the microcoil was in the left 10th rib. A small
fragment of the coil appears to have broken off and is within the
paraspinal subcutaneous tissues. A sterile dressing was applied.
The patient tolerated the procedure well.
