I hope someone can help me with this.
I'm coding/billing for inpatient mental health. I have a patient who has an admission date of 7/27. On 7/28, the MD completed 1 visit note for both the psych diagnosis evaluation w/med services (90792) and the discharge summary. How would I handle this since it wasn't done on the admission date of 7/27 but was done within 24 hours of the admission? Code 90792 and 99238 cannot be coded on the same day of service, so I'm unsure how to handle it. Please Help
