Wiki PLEASE HELP with 92136 vs 76519

We bill code 92136 to our carriers and only Medicare will pay this code.

Is it acceptable to bill code 76519 to the other carriers for reimbursement as they seem to be paying that code rather than the 92136?

If so, what difference would the documentation need to be?

No, unless you have written guidance from a payer that instructs you to do this, that would not be appropriate. 76519 is performed using ultrasound, 92136 is not, so these codes are not interchangeable.
