I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can bill for casting supplies seperately when billing closed treatment codes?

Cast Supplies

We bill for cast supplies along with the cast charge w/-58 modifier on the cast charge. We do not charge for the first cast it is included in the initial
Fx care charge. The E/M with the appropriate modifier and the fracture charge. Hope this is helpful.
 
cast materials and casting are inclusive of the fracture care code on the date the fracture is coded out. After that, for follow ups, you can capture them.
