HI all,

Is Modifier used for ALL payers or just Medicare?

Modifier PT is a Medicare modifier. Some Medicare advantage plans follow Medicare's lead and want the PT modifier as well (I usually research for payer specific policies available online). Commercial payers (e.g., BCBS, Cigna, Aetna, etc) want modifier 33 instead of PT to identify that the service began as a screening.
