I am needing help with labs that a Podiatrist can bill for, any suggestions? We currently have Podiatrist that is practicing in an internal Medicine practince and is wanting to utilize the convience of our lab, however we are getting denails stating he is not authorized to run these tests. I am assuming this has something to do with his speciality, can anyone asssit me on this?

Maybe because he isn't linked to a CLIA#. Could that be causing you some problems?

i agree...it might be a CLIA # issue...i believe they (docs) have to have permission to run labs
