I am going to help out a friend with his podiatry billing. Are there any books or newsletters that can help me with this. Podiatry is new to me.

Ingenix has a Podiatry specific coding book that helps. There is also a website called codingline.com that is podiatry specific. I have been billing Podiatry since 1993 and it can be quite challenging

Medicaid cms 1500 box 19

I am new also to podiatry coding and I receive conficting information when it comes to referring providers referral and the npi.
I been told there is a separate npi just for medicaid and the I was told it is just the referring org npi, Also should the referral number or the npi be in box 19. I appreciate any help. The cms site has too much weeds for me to find an answer any time soon
Thanks Is there such a thing as just example of how basic medicaid and meducare forms need to be complete?
