Good morning,
I am asking to get a bit of coding advise on a pt. who had a colonoscopy and provider to make it all the way to cecum. He does not really mention in body of op note where the prep was suboptimal throughout test but in the conclusion he does want patient to return in 1 year for repeat colon due to poor prep. Asking if a modifier 53 should be added to this screening colonoscopy although provider did make it all the way to cecum. No family history cc, polyps or any other dx. Straight screening on a 50 y/o w/ suboptimal prep but provider made it all way to cecum.
