I read the below definitions online. When billing telehealth in the pass, I used POS 02. My provider wants to start performing telehealth and I was brushing up on the coding. If the patient is not located in their home for POS 2, then where is the patient located? I think I found my answer. Is the patient residing in a nursing home or type of facility for POS 02?

POS 02 (Telehealth provided other than in patient’s home): Patient is not located in their home when receiving health services or health related services through telecommunication technology.
POS 10 (Telehealth provided in patient’s home) Patient is located in their home
