We have a patient at one of our clinics, who is here for a telehealth E/M visit with their primary physician at one of our other clinics. The payer is Medicare. The CHA (Alaska tribal Community Health Aid) assisting who set up the VTC equipment at the originating site also drew blood for labs. We are seeing a validation error with the place of service 02, likely because labs can't be done via VTC. So is it acceptable to change the place of service to 11 (office) and not add 95 to the E/M performed by our remote physician? I am having trouble finding any information on this scenario.
