Can someone please point me to an article that states how many visits should be provided to a patient in the post-op period when the procedure has a 90 day global period. I believe it is typically 3 but I can't find this information published. Everything I read says "Typical post-op care visits with in 90 days" What's typical?

Thanks

There isn't a typical amount that would apply across the board to all surgeries with a global period. Some specific procedures might have a common or usual number of visits (such as a common procedure like a hernia repair or knee replacement where a given number of post-op appointments would be planned in advance), but even this is going to vary according to physician practice preferences and, of course, individual patient needs.
