That depends on a few factors. Is this within 24 hourse after delivery? Or is it happening later in the postpartum period? Is this outside of the standard 6 week postpartum period? Is is spotting or more like hemorrhage?

I have the same question. My patient is 3 weeks postpartum. This is not abnormal bleeding. What is the proper dx?

If it is not delayed postpartum bleeding, you might consider something in the N90's. What did the provider assess the problem as?

I do not remember. She had come for another reason, but provider coded it as abnormal vaginal bleeding, and I just didn't think that seemed right, especially since they documented it was during the normal timeframe for postpartum bleeding.
