Is there any diagnosis code that Medicare will cover for a pre-op chest exam?

If you use V72.8X, followed by Dx code for the surgery followed by dx code for any findings.......

Yes, For pre-op exam primary dx should be from V72.8X series.

If you mean is there one that Medicare will pay for - probably not. A pre-op chest x-ray is a screening exam and generally not covered.
