Can I be billing Pre-op EKG's? I suddenly started getting denials stating they are inclusive with the surgeries. I thought if they are medically necessary they can be billed, should I use a 59 or xe with them? I bill them as follows Z01.810, reason for surgery DX and any findings DX.
Please advise.
