I have a patient that is coming for a pre-op visit during the 90 global period of another surgery. Both surgeries were preformed by the same service for the same problem. My question is do I have to no bill the facility side of the e/m visit?

If it's just a pre-op ( by the surgeon) (like an H&P) for the surgery then it is not billable. There needs to be a medical reason for the test. (outside doc doing exam for clearance)
