I tnought I had sent this earlier but I couldn't find it.

I have to admit I'm not real good when coding for pregnancy and complications. Patient went to ER with abdominal pain and 17 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I know to code Z3A.17 as the secondary diagnosis but what about the abdominal pain do I code it the regular R10.9 or is there a pregnancy abdominal pain code to use?

What was the final diagnosis of the abdominal pain? You would need to use an O code from Ch. 15. If they didn't get a dx, you could try O99.89 and then list the code for abdominal pain. Did they say that it was threatened labor? If so you could use O47, False labor.
