Working in an urgent care setting, and we have a need to do an abdominal x-ray (or any x-ray really) on a female of child bearing age. It's certainly medically appropriate to check them for pregnancy before administering the x-ray. My question is, what ICD-10 code would I use? Maybe just Z32.02? And further, does anyone have any experience as to whether insurances will cover the pregnancy test under those circumstances?
