i completed a coding class in 2009. i would like to take the exam but where do I began.
Do I need to take a ICD-10 class or workshop. Do you have to bill with the ICD-!0 codes.
I need help? I renew my membership with AAPC.

I would like to attend some of the chapter meetings in the OC or Carson, CA area.

ICD-10 billing does not officially start until October 2014. You have two years from THIS october to take a ICD-10 proficiency test to keep Certification. I would start with focusing on the CPC exam first, it uses ICD9. Once you pass the CPC exam I would shift focus to ICD10. AAPC offers study guides and practice tests. I HIGHLY recommend the practice tests. They were my biggest help in passing the test.
