Can anybody out there tell me if there is a dx code to use when the doctor does a quick scan on the patient during a preventive well women exam. There will be times when the doctor will indicate the reason for scanning the patient. And, then there will be times when the doctor will just indicate a well women exam dx (V72.31). Can I bill the us cpt 76857 to V72.31?
 
V71.89 as primary diagnosis, and Special investigations and examinations code V72.85.
I hope these two would go for 76857. let us wait for some one to come with more accurate/ or research some more closer diagnosis code as well. If i come across I would be back.
