Hello - When billing the preventive codes, there is much debate in our office as to whether an ROS is actually needed. Under the E/M services guidelines in the front of the book it states "comprehensive history obtained as part of the preventive...it does, however, include a comprehensive systems review," but in the paragraphs directly preceding the preventive codes, it does not specifically mention anything related to the ROS.

How would you obtain a 'comprehensive history' when there isn't and HPI component involved??? Would 10+ ROS be needed??
