I haven't heard any talk about preventive visits through telehealth. Does anyone have any links with the proper direction to take?

Everything that I have seen advises against it. I just read that on AAFP this morning also.

I would advise my provider not to do it, too much physical exam has to happen that you just can't do without being physically in the same room.

Since Medicare does not cover yearly physicals anyway, they have not issued any guidance on that, so I think you would need to look at specific payers' policies to see whether or not they would cover those via telehealth. Medicare does, however, allow some covered preventive services to be conducted via telehealth, for example the PPPS initial and subsequent visits (G0438 & G0439), annual depression screening (G0444), etc. You can find a complete list in their publication, linked below.
