If a patient presents for an annual physical can an OB doctor bill out a preventive code?

My ob docs bill preventative codes a lot and we have no trouble getting paid. We do have trouble when the patient has already had a physical with their PCP in the same year, so you have to ber careful about that. What you can do is call the patient's insurance before they come in and ask if a physical was already done this year so you can avoid that problem.
