I have 2 questions.

1. Pt admit and d/c first of the month and was admitted again at the end of the month since it was within 30 days the dr has referred back to the previous consult instead of dictating a new consult. Is that appropriate?

2. If Dr. X and Y are in same practice and Dr. X consults on pt then a few days later Dr. Y is asked to see pt due to worseing of the same condition that Dr. X saw the pt for. Can Dr. Y bill for a consult?
