i am looking to see if anyone has any recommendations pt first had a femoral catheter (non tunneled) put in for emergent dialysis (did not want to leave it in his leg ) drs decided on a translumbar dialysis catheter insertion (tunneled per report ) / initially i came up with 36558 when they found out this was patent they removed the femoral cath ............or would i code 49418??? AVF as well as Int Juglular were all clotted and stenosed.:eek::eek::eek:
