We often get POC , two 88305 ( usually two differnt requisitions, one for product of conception, another with diagnosis like uterine content, exxagerated placental site etc.) for same day of service.
DSHS almost always denies the second one, they pay for one.

Is it legitimate to charge for two of them ? I usually end up writing off one of them....

Pleease advice.

Thanks ,

Are they on the same report? Even so I would think with two different dx they would pay.

If on different reports and using the 59 modifier (or 76-7 depending on ins company) Appeal with medical records explaining two separate specimens and accession numbers.

Yes it is legitimate.
