I was just reviewing some of the items offered under the AAPC "members benefits" page, and came across the Professional Liability Insurance. I am just curious to see if many of you out there are insuring yourselves against a professional law suit regarding an error in coding?

I would love to hear about any experiences with this and just general feed back.

I have it. I code remotely from home. Some clients require it, some don't. It covers all aspects of the job including HIPAA. So if for some reason, someone was to break into my office at home and obtain personal information, I would be protected as well.

Its worth the $350 a year to me!
