Can one provider bill an E&M and another bill prolong if they have the same speciality?

Prlonged is an add-on

Since the prolonged service codes are add-ons to basic E/M, you cannot split these codes between two providers.

What I suggest is that you bill under one provider (whoever saw patient first), and split it on the back-end for internal tracking purposes.
