Wiki Prolonged service codes

What are the codes that you are using for prolonged services? We have been using 99417 and/or G2212. I am finding some carriers want 99354 which was supposed to have been deleted as of 12/1/2022.
I work in behavioral health so we used the prolonged codes a lot with our claims.

it depends on the location of the services, but per EncoderPro, it says to use the 99417.

These are all done in the office pos 11. All different payers.

Hi there, you're using the right codes. I assume the carriers that want deleted codes haven't updated their systems. You'll need to alert them to the change, find out whether they want 99217 or G2212 and ask if you need to resubmit the improperly denied claims.
