When two physicians in same group/specialty see patient and there is a prolonged service. Does each bill as billing provider and service provider, or would doc 2 be the service provider and doc 1 the billing provider.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

2 physicians in same group/specialty, first dr saw patient in the morning, second dr saw patient in the afternoon. Do they add their combined time?
