Wiki Provider Amputated Toe in SNF! POS issue?

Hi and thank you in advance for your assistance!

A Colorado provider performed a toe amputation (CPT 28820) at a nursing facility. I am currently determining if the Place of Service (POS) 31 (Medicare Part A) or 32 (Medicare Part B).

Either way - I'm thinking this will not even be covered because its not in an OR or ASC or Outpatient facility.

Am I right?

I cannot find any guidance on this - please help! :eek:
