Hi all,
Does anyone have information on how a provider can bill for his part B services when the patient is in an ALC status in the hospital? I have a Nephrologist who is seeing a patient that was placed in ALC status 3 days ago, awaiting rehab placement for a hip fracture, who needs to be seen for his dialysis evaluation. Please help! :)
ALC=Alternate Level of Care
Thank you!

The provider would need to be credentialed with the ALC and then you can bill inpatient E/M visits.
